Meet our 2026 President

Derek Noble — President of Stokesley Show

Derek Noble is proud to serve as President of Stokesley Show, capping off a remarkable 60-year connection to the event and to North Yorkshire’s farming community.

Derek’s connection to Stokesley Show began with Company trade stands and exhibiting, and over six decades he has become a familiar and much-loved figure at the Show. Beyond his business career, he has given decades of service to the local community as a School Governor for 43 years, Chairman of The Jack Brunton Charitable Trust for 40 years, and in leadership roles with the Cleveland Farmers Charity Ball and Peat Rigg Outdoor Centre.

Describing himself as a “loss-making hobby farmer,” Derek is looking forward to keeping the Show’s traditions alive this year. All three generations of his family attend and take part in the Show each year.

Reflecting on his appointment, Derek calls it “a very surprising honour” to be accepted within the agricultural community after 60 years, and hopes this year’s Show brings a bright, warm day and a record attendance. His message to exhibitors, sponsors and visitors: it’s taking part and enjoying the fun, rather than winning, that counts.
