Getting ready for the 2026 show

Apr 1, 2026 | Show News

One of North Yorkshire’s most beloved rural traditions just got a little glow up. The Stokesley Show has relaunched its official website.

A New Chapter for North Yorkshire’s Premier Agricultural Show

The Stokesley Show has been a cornerstone of the North Yorkshire rural calendar for well over 166 years, and the newly relaunched website reflects just how much pride and care goes into this extraordinary one-day event. With a cleaner layout, stunning new photography that captures the atmosphere of the showground, and significantly expanded functionality across every section of the site, the digital relaunch signals that the Stokesley Show is as forward-thinking as it is steeped in tradition.

Whether you’re a first-time visitor looking for directions and ticket prices, a long-standing society member, a trader hoping to showcase your business to more than 20,000 attendees, or a competitor eager to know when entry schedules go live — the new website has been built with you in mind.

“Now celebrating over 166 years of heritage, the Stokesley Show is a proud tradition and a highlight of the rural calendar, attracting visitors, competitors, and families from across the region and beyond.”

Updated Visitor Information — Everything You Need in One Place

Planning a visit to the Stokesley Show has never been more straightforward. The relaunched website brings together all essential visitor information under one roof, fully updated for 2026.

Gates open at 8:00am on Saturday 19th September, with free parking available directly opposite the showground (postcode TS9 5JL for sat-nav). The site also clearly outlines the accessible parking and facilities available for visitors with disabilities, including disabled toilets and provisions for full-time carers.

Tickets can now be purchased online in advance, with Early Bird rates available until 31st August 2026. Buying ahead means faster entry on the day and no queuing at the gate — the website makes the whole process quick and simple. Under-5s remain free, and existing society members will continue to receive their tickets by post as usual.

Online Membership Forms — Join the Stokesley Agricultural Society

A highlight of the website relaunch is the introduction of streamlined online forms for new members wishing to join the Stokesley Agricultural Society. Membership offers a premium show-day experience — including a dedicated marquee with seating, food and drink, and a front-row view of the main ring attractions and the eagerly anticipated 4 pm showjumping. It’s the ideal way to enjoy the show in comfort while being right at the heart of the action.

Previously, joining required a more manual process, but the new website makes it straightforward to apply online. If you’ve been considering membership, now is the perfect time to take the plunge ahead of what promises to be a superb 2026 show.

Full details and the membership application form can be found at www.stokesleyshow.co.uk.

Online Trade Stand Applications — Reach 20,000+ Visitors

The Stokesley Show is one of the most effective showcases for businesses of any kind across the whole of North Yorkshire. With more than 130 trade stands and over 20,000 visitors passing through the showground each year, it is a remarkable platform for reaching a highly engaged, local and regional audience.

The relaunched website now makes applying for a trade stand or craft stand simpler than ever, with dedicated online forms available for both trade and craft applicants. Whether your business offers agricultural machinery, country clothing, artisan food, financial services, home and garden products, or something entirely unique — the Stokesley Show wants to hear from you. Applications can be submitted directly through the Exhibitors section of the website, with enquiries directed to tradestands@stokesleyshow.co.uk.

“If you have something you feel would add to the show, apply today — or simply come to the show and shop. Handmade crafts, items not seen before, food to taste and gins to take away, sweets for all and not forgetting our pets.”

For craft stand enquiries, a separate application process is available via crafts@stokesleyshow.co.uk. The team reviews applications carefully to ensure the mix of exhibitors offers something for every visitor, so early applications are strongly encouraged.

Competition Entry Schedules — Coming Soon

The Stokesley Show is rightly celebrated for the breadth and quality of its competitive classes. With a prize fund of over £30,000 and more than 5,000 entries across the showground each year, competition is fierce and the standard is extraordinary. From livestock and equine classes to handicrafts, horticulture, dairy produce, photography, and children’s entries — there is a competitive class for almost every talent and every age group.

One of the most anticipated features of the new website is the forthcoming release of competition entry schedules and downloadable entry forms via the Competitors page. These will cover the full range of classes — livestock (cattle, sheep, goats, horses and ponies), fur and feather, dog show, dairy, farm produce, horticulture, handicrafts, art, and the hugely popular children’s section, which receives over 1,800 entries across 54 classes from young people aged under 5 right up to 16. Entry to children’s classes is completely free.

What to expect from the competition schedules

When the schedules go live on www.stokesleyshow.co.uk, competitors will be able to browse and download the full schedule or select individual class schedules relevant to their entry.

Closing dates for entries will be clearly listed alongside each class, and any updates or amendments will be communicated promptly through the site’s news section and social media channels.

Whether you’re an experienced competitor with trophies on the shelf, or a first-timer considering entering a Victoria sponge or a prize marrow for the very first time, the new website will make the process clear, accessible, and encouraging. Keep an eye on the Competitors page at www.stokesleyshow.co.uk — schedules are expected to be published in the coming weeks ahead of the 19th September show date.
