We will soon be welcoming our visitors to the 163rd Stokesley Show and we couldn’t be more proud.
We have a proud history as an agricultural show dating back to 1859, after holding a meeting at the Golden Lion Inn ( now The Leven Hotel) on March 12th 1859 and it was resolved that _“In the opinion of this Meeting it would be greatly beneficial to this District to establish an Agricultural Society, with an Annual Show, at Stokesley, to be called the Stokesley Agricultural Society.”
The Show has only not been held during the wars of 1914 – 1919 and again in 1939 – 1945 and in more recent times 2019 and 2020, due to the covid situation.
